With my partner Jamie, we talked about the places where we live and study and the difference between the suburbs in France and in United-States.
Jamie lives in Buena Park, California, near a mall. She said that it's not the cleanest and nicest city, but she likes it because all her family and all her friends can live close to her. She told me that everything in Buena Park is so close and it's really convenient because she doesn't need to drive too far to go to a store.

Buena Park is really close to Anaheim where is Disneyland, and growing up, she spent a lot of time there. Even now, she often goes to Disneyland because she has an annual pass.

She studies in Irvine, California too. Irvine is a huge city with long and wide streets and contrary to Buena Park, the streets are very clean. You'll never see a homeless person in Irvine, not as in France.
Irvine has many shopping centers.

Sometimes, she also lives in her brother's house in Irvine.

According to her, a suburb in the US is a big resenting area, that means there are a lot of homes grouped together.
I think it seems very different from France.
