This week end I skyped with Brenda and I asked her what means to be Amercian.

But she stopped me, and was saying she is more Mexican than American , and didn't want to be considered like this. So, I asked her what means to be Mexican !

She thinks being mexican means to be brave, to study and to learn things she's interested in.

It also means to travel everywhere in the world. In this way, she's able, to know the differences of each country , specialities of cooking for example ( Mexican, French, Japanese ) or cultures. This is what she expects to do, and I think she's right. But anyway, it's her vision of being Mexican. I'm sure that other Mexican would have an other view on what it means.

 

                                                                

The monument which epitomise her country is, according to her, in Mexico city. There's a monument called the Angel of Independance ( it was built in 1910 to commemorate the centennial of the beginning of Mexico's War of Independence ).
